If you are interested in making a donation to our preschool classroom, the following items are needed:
The items below may be found at garage sales or maybe they are items that you were planning on throwing away or donating. Remember, your donations or trash could be a preschool teacher's treasure!
ART CENTER
Sequins, beads, feathers, buttons, craft sticks, glitter, ribbon, yarn, wallpaper, macaroni, beans, tissue paper, gift wrap, toilet paper tubes, small rolling pins, cookie cutters, etc.
BLOCKS AND TRUCKS CENTER
Wooden blocks, wood scraps, nuts and bolts, large Lego's, trucks, cars, trains, plastic animals (farm, jungle, sea, zoo, etc.)
BOOKS AND POSTERS
DRAMATIC PLAY CENTER
Dress up clothes (costumes are fun to wear, but the most successful dress up clothes are adult castoffs in small sizes), hats, purses, gloves, shoes, jewelry, play food and dishes, dolls, doll clothing, doll blankets, camping equipment, plastic flowers, etc.
MANIPULATIVE TOYS
Fine motor manipulative toys are used during our tub time. SMall quantities can be used since each tub is used by only one child at a time. Examples include Mr. Potato Head, beads, lacing, sorting objects, matching games, etc.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS/EQUIPMENT
Musical instruments, children's tapes or CDs, etc.
OUTDOOR PLAY EQUIPMENT/LARGE MOTOR CENTER
Balls, hula hoops, sand toys, tricycles, scooters, helmets, etc.
SCIENCE CENTER
Rocks, shells, seeds, potting soil, pinecones, feathers, bird nests, magnifying glasses, marbles, magnets (all sizes)
WRITING CENTER
Paper, stationary, stickers, stamps, envelopes, notebooks, notepads, etc.
